How to descale and remove mineral buildup from your Keurig coffee maker:
1. First, ensure there is no water in the machine by emptying the water reservoir.
2. Pour one cup of vinegar into the water reservoir, and then fill it up with water until it’s full.
3. Make sure there is no coffee pod in the machine.
4. Remove the drip tray and place a large bowl under the coffee maker.
5. Close the lid and turn off the coffee maker by pressing the power button.
6. Simultaneously press and hold the 8oz and 12oz buttons until you see a message about descaling.
7. Press the brew button to begin the descaling process.
8. Wait for the coffee maker to complete the process, and when it’s done, empty the bowl.
9. Repeat this process until you receive a message saying “Add Water.”
10. Once the descaling process is finished, the “Descaling” message will disappear.
11. Your Keurig is now clean and ready to use again.
