There was one more, but affogato his name.
Can you guess what gadget has us all perked up?
Hi, my name is Gary, and this is my buddy Matt.
We’re just a bunch of gadget nerds who were lucky enough to be invited by Amazon to participate in the very exclusive Vine Voices Program.
We review all the latest and greatest Amazon products before they go on sale, and then when we’re done, we give them away, FREE, to a random viewer!
Make sure you watch to the end to find out how to be in the running for today’s mystery product!
Every year, between 10-15 billion individual coffee pods are opened, used and discarded in the trash can.
These single-use plastic and aluminium cups were, at the time they were released, seen as a gamechanger for quick ‘n’ nasty caffeination.
But their convenience soon presented an environmental nightmare.
The non-biodegradable coffee pods starting stacking up and soon enough, there was enough of these annoying little pods on earth that if lined up, they would circle the globe TEN TIMES.
While some companies have tried reinventing the wheel to make coffee pods more environmentally friendly, at the end of the day, we prefer a good-old-fashioned pot of brewed coffee that’s not only delicious, but great for the planet too.
So, what product are we reviewing today?
It’s the Cuisinart Perfectemp Coffee Maker!
If you have to regularly force yourself out of bed, puffy-eyed and still half-asleep before the sun’s even up, this guy is about to be your new best friend.
This programmable coffee machine from Cuisinart has it all.
Stainless steel construction, a programmable interface with LCD display, and state of the art technology to make a hotter and better tasting cup of coffee.
Once you pop the hood, you simply load your ground coffee beans into the permanent filter, insert the charcoal water filter and pour the water directly into the tank.
A handy water window shows you how many cups worth of water is still in the tank.
Close the lid and you’ve got a bunch of options to choose from. Everything from “Auto-On” mode to being able to program a schedule for your next brew.
You’ve got the ability to silence those annoying beeps, customize your coffee temperature and even limit the number of cups brewed.
The result?
A deliciously hot cup of coffee almost-on-demand.
But hold on, this is the second coffee machine we’ve reviewed so far!
Back in June we reviewed the G-Presso Gyro-Pressed Automatic Home Brew Iced Coffee maker.
Even though they’re kinda similar, you really can’t compare the first cup of piping hot coffee in the morning to a flat, cold dessert drink for the mid-afternoon.
We’ve linked the G-Presso Iced Coffee maker review up on the top right and also in the description just in case you want to compare them.
So, what do we like about the Cuisinart DCC-3200p1 Perfectemp Coffee Maker?
Hands down it’s the programmability. Setting your coffee machine to start brewing a fresh pot 15 minutes before your alarm goes off is a level of comfort I never knew existed until very recently.
We’re also big fans of VERY hot coffee and this machine has the ability to keep a single jug piping hot for several hours after it was first run.
So, what’s the downside?
We found the carafe’s pouring spout to be a little strangely designed.
It builds up and angles to the point that you have to tilt the whole carafe forward at a rather unnatural angle to poor the final few cups.
It’s probably to facilitate the snug fit when seating it back in the machine, but it still feels like an engineering oversight.
So, what’s the verdict? Going to have to watch and find out!
