Buy the renowned powerhouse Rancilio Silvia or go with the feature-packed Profitec Go? Let’s see how they stack up side by side.
I had several people ask me to do a comparison video pitting these two machines against each other as they are two of the best entry-level prosumer machines on the market but for completely different reasons.
On the one hand, you have the very simple but super solid Rancilio Silvia. Nothing fancy but excellent build quality that lasts and lasts until the end of time. It’s not the easiest to get used to and the learning curve is steep, but the coffee will be there for you every morning.
On the other hand, the profitec Go is feature packed and very easy to get used to. It has all the technology to help you make a great tasting coffee easily, but its relatively new to the market so will it stand the test of time?
I helped a customer choose which machine was best for her so stay to the end and I’ll tell you which one she bought.
Thanks to my friends at Jetblack for letting me come and play on those machines. If you want to get in touch tell them I said hi!

About me:
I am super passionate about coffee and educating people on all aspects of this amazing drink. I love bringing the stories back from the other side of the world about how they grow and process the coffee differently on each farm, in each region, and in each country. I also love helping baristas around the world make better coffee for themselves, whether they’re at home, professional, competitors or even just venturing out into the wide world of coffee.
